We offer a comprehensive package of legal debt recovery services for commercial clients. We have a substantial track record in this field and our client work spans a range of sectors including invoice discounting, construction, rent recovery, contract cleaning, pharmaceuticals, education, printing, and food products.
We believe that effective debt recovery work is dependent on three key elements:
- A full understanding of our client’s business and the nature of the sector within which they operate
- The efficient exchange of information with the client to facilitate the rapid progress of each debt recovery instruction
- Sound judgement in the use of the right procedure at the right time to recover the particular debt in question.
We recognise that our clients judge our service by the rate and speed of collection and the cost to them. Our staff range from Partner to Paralegal, and we ensure that our team for each debt recovery exercise strikes the right balance between the requirement for management and direction at a senior level on the one hand, and cost efficiency on the other.
Our debt recovery services includes:
In house advice and seminars providing guidance on credit management, legal pitfalls and how to avoid them
- Recoverability evaluation
- Credit searches and reporting
- Pre-action correspondence
- Insolvency proceedings – bankruptcy and winding-up
- High Court and County Court proceedings
- Forfeiture proceedings
- All methods of judgement enforcement.
Our fees
In recognition of the fact that we tailor our services to each particular client’s needs, our fee structure is similarly flexible. We offer two principal fee alternative structures.
The first is a fixed fee arrangement where fees are calculated by reference to the amount of the debt and the stages of the debt recovery process that have been undertaken.
The second alternative is a time based fee structure, which will normally be appropriate in larger recoveries and where the debt is contested.
