Blandy & Blandy Leading the Way on International Women’s Day

8 March 2020 marked this year’s International Women’s Day and Blandy & Blandy Solicitors is “proud to be bucking the trend” when it comes to gender equality at the highest level according to Chairman Brenda Long.

Exactly half of the firm’s 16 partners are women and in 2016 Ms Long became Blandy & Blandy’s first female chairman in its long history.

The firm has twice been named as a finalist at the Thames Valley Women in Business Awards, collecting an award from Baroness Michelle Mone OBE in 2016. Ms Long also received an individual award at the 2018 Sue Ryder Southern Women of Achievement Awards.

“Many of the firm’s female partners and associate solicitors trained at the firm, including me,” explained Ms Long.

“We have developed our careers with the support of colleagues. Blandy & Blandy offers flexible working arrangements and actively encourages a good work-life balance.”
