Paul Linsell Obtains Law Society's Mediation Accreditation

Associate solicitor Paul Linsell, in our leading Family Law team, has recently become an accredited mediator as part of the Law Society’s Family Mediation Accreditation scheme

Mediation is a way of addressing issues between a couple without going to court. With the assistance of a trained mediator, both parties can be empowered to seek to resolve issues with one another and to make their own decisions.

Paul is also an accredited Resolution specialist. He is currently one of just two solicitors in Berkshire to hold the 'Complex Financial Remedies' accreditation (dealing with complex financial issues on divorce) and one of only three who hold the 'Cohabitation and TOLATA' accreditation (dealing with issues between unmarried couples).

Partner Claire Dyer said: “I am delighted that Paul’s hard work and determination have been recognised with this accreditation. In the right case, mediation can be a preferable method of resolving family disputes rather than extensive solicitor involvement or litigation and we are finding increasing numbers of clients wishing to use the process."

Blandy is Blandy is recognised as a top tier firm for Family Law in the UK’s leading guides to law firms, Chambers UK and The Legal 500 and was named as a finalist for 'Family Law Firm of the Year - South' at the UK-wide Family Law Awards.
