Blandy & Blandy LLP Ranked Among UK’s Top Planning Law Firms

Karen Jones

Blandy & Blandy LLP has been recognised as one of the UK’s top planning law firms.

Planning Magazine’s 2017 Planning Law Survey ranks Blandy & Blandy in joint 28th position, in its list of the top 50 firms nationally. The rankings are traditionally dominated by much larger London-based firms, the majority of which operate nationally or internationally. The rankings are compiled based on peer-led interviews and research.

Working closely with planning consultants and other specialist advisers, Blandy & Blandy’s team is regularly instructed by large landowners, developers, investors, financiers, businesses owners and private individuals on all aspects of planning and environmental law.

The team is highly ranked, for both planning and environmental law, in Chambers UK guide and The Legal 500, with the latter also ranking partner and team head Karen Jones as a 'leading individual' in her field. In addition, Karen is a member of the Law Society's planning law panel and the only Legal Associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute (LARTPI) in the area. Fellow partner Simon Dimmick is also individually recommended in both legal directories for his significant strategic expertise.

Karen commented: “I am delighted that our team’s commitment to providing our clients with a first rate service and legal advice that really adds value has been recognised in these important rankings.

We pride ourselves on providing expertise and advice on a par with much larger, usually London-based, firms and it is our extensive knowledge of the Thames Valley and our relationships with other leading professional firms and key bodies and organisations in the region that sets us apart.”
