Rebecca Ellerbeck is a specialist senior solicitor in our Employment law team, which operates across our Reading, Henley-on-Thames and London offices. She trained with Wedlake Bell in London before joining Blandy & Blandy LLP in 2007.

Rebecca advises senior management and HR professionals on all strategic HR issues and complex employment situations and undertakes a range of contentious and non-contentious respondent and claimant work.

She has a great deal of experience handling tribunal claims, ranging from basic unfair dismissal to complex discrimination cases and appears as an advocate at some hearings. Rebecca has a particular interest and expertise in litigation involving unlawful discrimination, with particular emphasis on sex and philosophical belief discrimination matters.

Rebecca regularly speaks at the firm's seminars on the full range of employment matters and recent developments and is heavily involved in Blandy & Blandy's annual mock employment tribunal. She has featured as an employment law expert on BBC Radio Berkshire and regularly writes blogs and articles on a variety of employment law topics. She also shares the responsibility for preparing our regular employment law e-bulletins.

Outside of work, Rebecca is an accomplished musician, playing both oboe and piano to grade 8 standard. Travel is a passion, and as well as travelling just for fun, Rebecca has taught music at The Lawrence School, Sanawar, India and has worked for the legal aid department in Lilongwe, Malawi. She climbed Pico Turquino in Cuba for charity. She also enjoys dancing, pilates, and has even been known to skydive (six times).
