Andrea Corr is a solicitor in our Employment law team.
She advises employees and employers on a wide variety of employment law matters, including disciplinary and grievance situations, settlement agreements and business immigration.
In her previous in-house roles, Andrea had first-hand experience of managing performance and disciplinary/grievance matters, as well as handling Employment Tribunal claims.
Prior to qualification as a solicitor, Andrea worked in a variety of senior HR roles, dealing with employee relations, restructures, redundancy and TUPE across large public and private sector organisations. This included complex disciplinary and grievance issues, including sexual harassment, victimisation and bullying. Andrea also dealt with large scale redundancy processes “on the ground”, within short timescales.
Immediately prior to retraining as a lawyer, she handled a large scale TUPE transfer to a joint venture company. In other projects, Andrea also conducted a ‘buy-out’ of terms and conditions, following a TUPE transfer, with associated “no fault” dismissals, settlement agreements and re-engagement.
Almost all of Andrea’s background has been in unionised environments and she has particular experience of dealing with staff consultative arrangements, trade union recognition, collective bargaining and trade union negotiations.
She actively participates in the firm's annual programme of events, including an Employment law seminar and mock employment tribunal.
