Claire Dyer is a partner and head of our leading Family Law team and advises clients from our Reading, Henley-on-Thames and Wokingham offices, as well as remotely.

Claire is experienced in all aspects of divorce and separation, financial remedy and disputes in relation to children. She acts for both married and unmarried individuals, at all stages of their relationship and advises parents, grandparents and families with often complex needs in children cases.

Claire advises on complex and often high value cases involving trusts, business assets, international elements, third party interveners, injunctions and appeals. She is also experienced in advising in relation to pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, separation agreements and surrogacy matters, providing guidance and support to either the surrogate or the intended parents, as well as their respective families.

In addition to extensive litigation experience, Claire practices as a collaborative lawyer and mediator which enables her to support clients to resolve their disputes in a constructive and conciliatory manner without the need for Court intervention. She trained with and is a member of Family Law body Resolution, which aims to resolve Family Law matters through a constructive approach.

After completing her legal training in London, Claire joined Blandy & Blandy in 2006 upon qualification. She became an associate solicitor in 2011 and a partner in 2015.

Claire is recommended in the UK's leading guides to law firms, Chambers UK and The Legal 500, and is recognised in the highest band 1 category and as a 'leading individual' respectively.

In 2018 Blandy & Blandy was named as a finalist in the 'Family Law Firm of the Year - South' category at the Family Law Awards in London and in 2022 the firm was shortlisted and 'highly commended' in the same category.
