David Few is a partner in our Corporate & Commercial team, with over 35 years’ experience of handling corporate transactions for global, European and UK businesses. He regularly advises clients on strategic issues and provides general advice to clients for whom he has acted over many years.

He is also a Notary Public, having qualified in 2004. He is one of only a handful of corporate lawyers who is also a Notary public, a capacity in which he advises a large number of multinational companies in and around Reading and the Thames Valley.

David is a recognised specialist in non-contentious insolvency and reorganisations and holds a diploma from the Association of Certified Accountants.

He continues to be recommended in the UK's leading guides to law firms, Chambers UK and The Legal 500

David has, for many years, been a governor of Reading Blue Coat School. He is also a trustee of Berkshire Vision and a member of Thames Valley First, of which he was chairman in 2019-2020.

  • Acting for a French-based engineering group, operating in nine countries, in relation to several multi million pound acquisitions.
  • Advising Reading Transport Limited, an award-winning municipal owned bus company, for over 30 years, on numerous acquisitions including Newbury & District and Courtney bus companies..
  • Advising on the restructuring of large marketing services group located in the south of England.
  • Acting for the shareholders of Box Technologies in connection with the sale of the company to Taiwan-based listed group Flytech Technology (TWSE: 6206), in a deal shortlisted for an award the 2017 Thames Valley Deals Awards.
  • Advising the shareholders of Stontronics Limited on the sale of the company to Stadium Group PLC.
  • Advising on the disposal by a major partner of their interest in a west country-based professional services firm.
  • Acting on the sale of a security services company to a group based in Northern Ireland.
  • Acting for Higgs and Co (Holdings ) Limited on the restructuring and subsequent acquisition of Higgs and Co ( Printers) Limited.
  • Advising founder shareholders on the sale of Machina, a world leading advisor on the Internet of Things, to global advisory company Gartner PLC.
  • Advising Lloyds Bank in connection with the financing of the acquisition of Witney Lakes Resort, Spa and Golf Club by The Club Company Limited and acting for the bank in connection with funding the acquisition of Wharton Park based in Worcestershire and Woodbury Park based in Devon.
