Debbie Brett is a partner in our Corporate & Commercial team.
She advises clients on all aspects of commercial and regulatory law and is also experienced in handling commercial disputes.
Debbie advises in relation to the project management of commercial transactions, including risk identification and allocation, drafting, negotiation and advising on appropriate documentation.
She has particular experience in intellectual property, advertising and marketing, advising on copy, brand protection and defence of current campaigns.
Debbie advises commercial clients in relation to regulatory and compliance matters, including online trading, GDPR and data protection and anti-bribery and provides bespoke training on business regulation and compliance..
She frequently deals with regulators on behalf of her clients, such as the Office of Fair Trading, the Information Commissioner and the Advertising Standards Authority.
In 2017 Debbie was a guest Editor of the Journal of Data Protection and Privacy, published by Henley Business School. She also writes articles for legal guide Lexis Nexis. Debbie is recommended in The Legal 500.
She trained at the firm, becoming a partner in 2006, and is responsible for managing the firm's training programme for trainee solicitors.
