Graham Benwell is a consultant and former partner in our Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts team and primarily advises clients from our Reading office, as well as remotely.

Graham has over 30 years’ experience as a private client solicitor and has particular expertise in the fields of tax and estate planning, involving Wills and Trusts.

He continues to advise many high net worth individuals and their families, with many clients referred directly by accountants, investment managers, IFAs and other firms of solicitors.

Graham previously headed the private client department at Nabarro in London and is a founder member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP). He is also a trained Dementia Friend, an Alzheimer's Society initiative, and is consistently highly recommended in the UK's leading guides to law firms, Chambers HNW Guide and The Legal 500.

  • As trustee, dealing with the administration of several multi-million pound private and charitable trusts.
  • As executor and trustee, dealing with the administration of several multi million pound estates.
  • Advising in relation to the mitigation of Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax issues arising in relation to the administration of numerous estates.
  • As court appointed administrator, finalising the administration of a long running and extremely contentious estate.
  • Acting for numerous high net worth professional and business clients in relation to testamentary and estate/tax planning matters, commonly involving the drafting of suitable trusts and advising on related tax issues.
