Blandy & Blandy Recognised as a Top Tier Firm in The Legal 500

Blandy & Blandy has again been recognised as a ‘top tier’ firm in the 2024 edition of The Legal 500, placing it among the leading law firms in the region.

Blandy & Blandy is recommended across 13 different practice areas, all those in which it advises, and is named as a top tier firm in three of these areas - ‘Family’, ‘Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate’ and ‘Environment and Planning’.

The firm is also recommended in the ‘Corporate and Commercial’, ‘Employment’, ‘Commercial Property’, ‘Commercial Litigation’, ‘Insolvency and Recovery’, ‘Property Litigation’, ‘Contentious Trusts and Probate’, ‘Charities’, ‘Public Sector’ and ‘Licensing’ rankings.

14 of Blandy & Blandy’s 16 partners are individually recognised as experts in their respective fields (as The Legal 500 does not cover the area of Residential Property), whilst partners Jonathan Gater, (Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate), Karen Jones (Environment and Planning), Claire Dyer (Family), Nick Burrows (Charities) and Sue Dowling (Licensing) are acknowledged as ‘leading individuals’ in their respective fields.

10 other lawyers are also recommended in this year’s guide – Andrea Corr, Jonathan Dinsdale, Emma Ford, Rebecca Ledgerwood, Peter Hilton, Asma Muneer, Shashi Sachdeva, Jennifer Scott, Sabah Siddiq and Gemma Stephenson.

“Blandy & Blandy look for solutions to enable clients to achieve their objectives rather than looking for reasons why they can’t,” says one source, whilst another adds: “While Blandy’s feels very traditional, its understanding of modern business practices is excellent. It also has a genuine international network and the service has been efficient and informed throughout.”

According to The Legal 500, Blandy & Blandy is “a very well-established firm” that provides “Strong, connected advice on both personal and business interests” and “unrivalled knowledge”, “is responsive and easy to work with” and “accessible and extremely knowledgeable”. The firm is credited for its “strong sense of client care”, being “outstanding” and “oozing class.”

Chairman and partner Nick Burrows said: “We are very pleased to continue to be recognised as a top tier firm and to see all of our departments recognised in this years’ Legal 500. Well done to colleagues and thank you to everyone who participated in the research process this year. It is wonderful to read the fantastic feedback that has been shared.”

Recognised as one of the leading guides to the legal profession, The Legal 500 analyses and ranks law firms based on how they are viewed by both clients and other professionals. The UK edition is one of more than 100 published worldwide.
