Blandy & Blandy’s annual quiz night has raised a record total of £6,800 for the firm’s two adopted charities, Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service and Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
Held on 1 October, the event is now in its eleventh year and welcomed 27 teams representing leading banks and firms in the region.
Tai Bishop, lead for corporate and community partnerships at Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, said: “Thank you so much to Blandy and Blandy for hosting their annual quiz night in aid of Alexander Devine Children's Hospice. We are so grateful for the team's support and to all of the companies who helped make it such a successful evening, enabling us to raise a fantastic sum of money. A huge congratulations to the winning team!”
Nadia Cheddi, corporate partnerships and engagement officer at Thames Valley Air Ambulance, added: “It was wonderful to be part of such a brilliant evening, we are incredibly grateful to Blandy & Blandy and everyone in the room who helped raise such an incredible amount. As a charity, we rely on support like this to keep our crews delivering lifesaving critical care to people across our community when they need us most. Every pound raised helps us continue to be there for the next patient who needs us.”

A popular raffle contributed to the fundraising total, with prizes kindly donated by Reading Biscuit Factory, Bremont, Burghfield Spices, Chiltern Valley Winery & Brewery, Fortnum & Mason, Henley Festival, Hobbs of Henley, Leander Club, Macbeth, Market House, Sonning Flowers, Stanlake Park Wine Estate, Purdey at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School, The Rose - Wokingham, The Roseate - Reading, TeamSport Indoor Go Karting, and PADELHUB - Reading.
