Blandy & Blandy has announced a series of senior associate and associate promotions across the firm, effective from 1 July 2025.
Chair and partner, Claire Dyer, said: “Congratulations again to colleagues on their recent promotions, which reflect their growing expertise and experience and wider contributions to the success of our firm. We look forward to continuing to support their continued development and to watching them flourish at Blandy & Blandy.”
In the Corporate & Commercial team, Emma Ford and Jennifer Scott will become associates.
Corporate lawyer, Emma, commented: "I am thrilled to become an associate at Blandy & Blandy and to undertake a more prominent role within our Corporate team. I have spent five very rewarding years with the firm, having joined as a trainee solicitor, and have benefitted greatly from the wonderful support and guidance of my colleagues and the firm as a whole. I look forward to developing my professional skills and contributing to the ongoing success of the firm."
Jennifer, who specialises in advising clients on commercial and charity matters, added: “I’m really excited to take on this new role and I am grateful for the support I have received from the incredible team at Blandy & Blandy. The firm truly values collaboration and home-grown talent, with many associate promotions this year being individuals who originally joined the firm as trainees or newly qualified solicitors. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead and to contributing even more to our success.”
In the Dispute Resolution team, Louise Low, who advises on contentious probate matters, said: “I am delighted to have been promoted to associate. Blandy & Blandy has been ‘home’ for me since I started out as a trainee solicitor and I am looking forward to continuing my career here.”
In the Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts team, Kelly Chandler becomes a senior associate and Sophie Ashford and Sophie Stone associates.
Kelly commented: “I am delighted to have been promoted to the position of senior associate at Blandy & Blandy. I have worked in our thriving Wills, Probate Tax & Trusts team for over 5 years and I am honoured to have been part of their continued growth and success. It is easy to be committed to sharing a firm’s values of excellence, integrity and approachability when they apply both to their staff and their clients”.
Sophie Ashford added: I am delighted to have been promoted to an associate at the firm, and I look forward to continuing to support the development and success of the team and the wider firm in my new role. I am extremely grateful to the partners for this incredible opportunity and for their assistance, encouragement and guidance. I would also like to thank all of my colleagues for their continued support.
Sophie Stone continued: "I am so pleased to be taking the next step in my career as an associate at the firm. I trained with the firm and am extremely grateful for the for the support of my colleagues and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the firm’s success.”
Family lawyer Elizabeth Owen said: “I have been a solicitor at Blandy & Blandy since I qualified in 2021. During that time, the firm has supported and encouraged me so that I have continued to develop my knowledge and expertise, including attaining Resolution’s Specialist Accreditation in the areas of domestic abuse and private law children last August. This is a direct result of the particular support, trust and challenge that have been provided during my time at the firm. My purpose has always been focused on supporting individuals and communities and Blandy & Blandy prides itself on the service it offers to the Thames Valley area. I am therefore delighted that I will be able to provide specialist Family Law services to our clients in my new role as an associate.”
Finally, in the firm’s Residential Property team, Pam Kamel commented: “I am beyond delighted to have been promoted to associate. To have achieved this milestone is all down to the supervision and mentoring I have received in my time at Blandy’s. In my year here, I have felt very lucky to work at such a personable yet professional firm, and I look forward to continuing to contribute towards our success”.
