On 19 March Blandy & Blandy was delighted to be represented at the judging of the Reading Young Enterprise Finals, held at Verizon’s offices at Reading International Business Park.
A number of the schools involved in the competition are also clients of Blandy & Blandy, while a fellow judge, Peter Hart, managing director of international recruitment business Austin Fraser Limited, is also a client of the firm.
Judge David Lamont, Blandy & Blandy’s marketing manager, first met the even teams representing The Abbey School, Reading Blue Coat School and St Joseph’s College, at the ‘Dragons’ Den’ stage of the process last autumn, hosted at the firm’s Reading offices.
He said: “Congratulations to all of the students who took part this year, particularly the winning team from the Abbey School.
As judges, we were hugely impressed not only by the inspired business ideas the students had developed over many months but the passion and energy which they brought to the competition and the confidence and abilities they demonstrated at every stage.
We look forward to hosting the first stage of the next competition later this year.”
